Position: Development Manager
The Muslim Educational Cultural Center of America, MECCA, a growing Islamic organization serving the Muslim Community in Burr ridge, Hinsdale, Darien, Willow brook, is seeking a qualified individual for the Development Manager Position.
Essential Job Functions:
1- Plan, coordinate, organize and implement various fundraising campaigns and activities such as public events, direct mailers and online campaigns.
2- Recruit and train volunteers to assist in fundraising efforts related to the mosque construction project.
3- Identify and cultivate prospective donors
4- Stay on top of advancements and changes that are pertinent to raising money within the local Muslim community
5- Produce solicitation and marketing materials and campaigns
6- Evaluate the potential of fundraising campaigns and activities
7- Develop and maintain donors and potential donors’ mailing lists
Required Knowledge and Skills
1- Basic Knowledge of Islam
2- Related experience of at least 2 years.
3- Fluency in Spoken and written English
4- Computer Skills, Word , Excel, Outlook
5- Excellent Interpersonal and Inter- Cultural Communication skills
